Junk Removal in Fort Worth’s Industrial Corridors
Fort Worth’s industrial work clusters in three places with three different kinds of site: the distribution space around AllianceTexas in the far north, the businesses around Meacham International Airport five miles north of downtown, and the older industrial stock on the east side, in the Riverside and Beach Street belts and along East Lancaster, a few minutes from this branch’s yard.

Three corridors, three kinds of site
AllianceTexas is Hillwood’s 27,000-acre development around Perot Field Fort Worth Alliance Airport, with the FedEx Southwest Regional Sort Hub on site and BNSF’s Alliance Intermodal Facility just north in Haslet. The work there is volume: pallets, packaging and damaged totes produced every week, which suits a standing slot better than a call each time.
Meacham International Airport sits on 900 acres five miles north of downtown, at I-820 and Business Highway 287, with a mix of corporate, regional and local businesses around it. Jobs there are more varied — a workshop clear-out one week, surplus office furniture the next.
The east side is older stock: the Riverside and Beach Street belts and the warehouses along East Lancaster, close to the yard this branch runs from. When a clear-out there is tied to a lease handback, the scope comes from the lease — what goes, what stays and the date the keys go back — and that is worth having in hand when you book.
What an industrial booking needs
Six things that decide whether the first visit is the only visit.
- The site contact, and the gate or security arrangement
- Any induction or safety-equipment requirement
- Dock door, yard and loading times
- What is going and what stays, tagged on site
- Whether racking is engineered or light shelving
- Whether the job is one-off or recurring
What cannot go on the truck, and where it goes instead
Business chemicals are the gap people do not expect. Fort Worth’s Environmental Collection Center takes residential waste only — the city says commercial, business and industrial waste cannot be accepted under Texas regulations — and the city’s Drop-Off Stations are for residents, not businesses. Solvents, fuels, oils and drums need a licensed contractor.
Two more items carry their own rules. Equipment holding refrigerant — display coolers, ice machines, air conditioning units — can only go once the refrigerant is recovered: under the federal safe-disposal rule, the final processor must recover it or get a signed statement saying who did. And in Texas a lead-acid battery cannot go in municipal waste; it goes back to a battery retailer or wholesaler, a secondary lead smelter or an authorized recycling facility.
Everything else that is not hazardous — pallets, packaging, racking, furniture, equipment — is the work this branch is set up for.

Industrial Corridors — common questions
- Can you run a recurring pickup at an Alliance distribution site?
- Yes. A standing weekly or monthly slot suits the volume these sites produce, with the crew inducted once and holding the gate access, so each visit is routine.
- Can our business use the city’s hazardous-waste center?
- No. Fort Worth’s Environmental Collection Center takes residential waste only, and the city’s Drop-Off Stations are for residents. Business chemicals, fuels and oils need a licensed contractor; we take the non-hazardous rest.
- Do you take pallet racking?
- Light racking and shelving, yes, dismantled and cleared. Engineered racking systems are scoped before anything is quoted, and where one needs a racking specialist we will say so.
- How far ahead should we book?
- For a one-off clearance in the far north, a few days gives a much better choice of slots — the Alliance corridor is a distance from the Beach Street yard. East-side sites are close by and easier to fit in at short notice.
