Kitchen Renovation Debris Removal in Fort Worth

A kitchen strip-out produces the largest single-room debris load in residential renovation, and it produces it all at once — usually in a single morning, and usually into the middle of the room the new cabinets are arriving into.

Everything comes out on the same day

A kitchen does not get dismantled gradually. The cabinets come off the wall, the countertop comes out, the appliances get disconnected and the flooring comes up, generally within one working day.

That is a genuinely large volume: a run of upper and lower cabinets, an island, a stone countertop in two or three pieces, a range, a dishwasher, a refrigerator, the sink and tap, the backsplash tile and often the floor as well.

And it all has to be gone before the new cabinets can be set, which is usually a matter of days rather than weeks.

What comes out of a Fort Worth kitchen

ElementWhat to know
Cabinet runsBulky rather than heavy. Uppers, lowers and an island fill a surprising amount of truck.
Stone countertopsGranite and quartz are very heavy for their volume. Weight factors into the quote.
Laminate countertopsLight and easy, but long — usually cut down on site to load.
AppliancesRefrigerators need refrigerant handling. Gas ranges must be disconnected by a licensed trade first.
Backsplash tileDense and sharp. Bagged for carrying.
FlooringTile, vinyl or hardwood, plus underlay and adhesive residue.
Sink and fixturesCast iron sinks are much heavier than they look.

Gas ranges and hard-plumbed appliances

This is the one place a kitchen clearance needs work done before we arrive. A gas range must have its supply isolated by a licensed trade — we will not disconnect gas, and nobody hauling junk should.

The same applies to anything hard-plumbed. A dishwasher on a standard supply is straightforward; one that has been plumbed in without an isolating valve needs a plumber first.

  • Gas supply isolated by a licensed trade beforehand
  • Hard-plumbed units need isolation first
  • Standard plug-in and valved connections handled on site
  • Refrigerators routed to refrigerant handling

FAQ

Kitchen Renovation Debris Removal in Fort Worth — common questions

How much of a truck does a kitchen fill?
A typical full kitchen strip-out — cabinets, countertop, appliances, backsplash and flooring — is usually somewhere between a half and a full load. Stone countertops push the weight up considerably even when the volume is modest.
Do you take granite and quartz countertops?
Yes. They are heavy rather than difficult, and the weight is accounted for in the quote rather than being a surprise on the day.
Do the old appliances go on the same load?
Yes. Refrigerators go for refrigerant handling, and everything else goes with the load. Gas appliances need the supply isolated by a licensed trade before we arrive.
When should I book it?
For the day of the strip-out or the day after. The new cabinets cannot be set into a room that still has the old ones stacked in it.
