A cubicle workstation is a set of connected panels, a worksurface or two, overhead storage, a pedestal, a task light and usually powered raceway running through the base of the panels. Taking one apart is fifteen to thirty minutes of work.

Multiply that by forty stations and the labor dwarfs the hauling. Which is why these jobs are quoted on station count and configuration rather than on a rough estimate of volume — the volume is predictable, the labor is what varies.

The other variable is power. Where raceway is electrified, it must be isolated by an electrician before teardown begins. That is not negotiable and it needs arranging before the crew arrives, not discovered on the night.
