Three questions decide whether it has value
Is it a current-generation system from a recognized manufacturer? Is it complete and consistent, rather than assembled from three different systems over a decade? And is it in genuinely good condition, with clean fabric and undamaged panels?
Three yeses and a liquidator may be interested. Any no and there is realistically no market, because a dealer needs to resell a coherent system rather than a pile of mismatched panels.
Most offices, when they look honestly, have accumulated a mixed system. That is not a failure; it is what happens over fifteen years of adding desks.
Why teardown dominates the cost
A cubicle workstation is a connected assembly: panels, worksurfaces, overhead storage, a pedestal, a task light and frequently powered raceway through the panel base. Taking one apart is fifteen to thirty minutes of work.
At forty stations that is a full day of labor before a single panel reaches the truck. This is why cubicle removal is quoted on station count rather than volume, and why a quote given without a station count is unreliable.
It is also why a floor of freestanding desks is dramatically cheaper to clear than the same floor in cubicles.
The electrical point
Where panel raceway is electrified, it must be isolated and certified by an electrician before teardown begins. This is not a formality — panels carry live circuits and dismantling around them is genuinely dangerous.
Arrange it in advance. Discovering on the night that the raceway is live means the job does not proceed, and everybody has wasted an evening.
