Apartment Move-Out Junk Removal in Fort Worth

An apartment move-out has a hard deadline, a deposit attached, and a building with rules. All three are manageable, and all three are easier if the clearance is booked rather than improvised on the last afternoon of the lease.

The deposit math

Leaving items in a unit is one of the most reliable ways to lose part of a deposit, and the charge a property applies for removing them is rarely proportionate to what removal actually costs.

A mattress left in a bedroom, a sofa left in a living room and a few bags in a closet can comfortably exceed what a booked clearance would have cost — and unlike the deposit deduction, the clearance is something you control.

The other advantage is timing. You can book the clearance for the day before the walk-through and know the unit is empty when the inspector arrives.

What the building needs from us

Most Fort Worth communities want a certificate of insurance on file and the service elevator booked. Some restrict move-out hours, some designate a specific loading area, and most take a dim view of a propped fire door.

All of that is normal and we work inside it. The important part is telling us the community and the floor when you book, so it is arranged rather than negotiated in a lobby.

  • Certificate of insurance supplied on request
  • Elevator slot booked through the leasing office
  • Designated loading areas and fire lanes respected
  • Corridors and breezeways left clear

What is usually left in a Fort Worth apartment

  • Mattress and bed frame
  • Sofa or sectional too big for the next place
  • Desk, bookcase and flat-pack furniture
  • Television and old electronics
  • Bagged clothing and donation piles
  • Cleaning supplies and part-used cleaners
  • Balcony furniture and planters
  • Packing debris and flattened boxes

FAQ

Apartment Move-Out Junk Removal in Fort Worth — common questions

Can you clear a third-floor unit with no elevator?
Yes. Walk-ups are routine and there is no separate stair charge. Tell us the floor when you book so the crew size is right.
My community requires a certificate of insurance. Is that a problem?
No, it is a routine request. Ask the leasing office what they need and we will get it to them before the job.
When should I book relative to the walk-through?
The day before. That way the unit is confirmed empty and you are not relying on a clearance and an inspection happening in the right order on the same morning.
Can you take the balcony furniture too?
Yes. Balcony and patio items are part of the unit as far as most walk-throughs are concerned, so they are worth clearing at the same time.
